Arsenal manager Arsenal Wenger decided to walk away from Mustafi because of the price tag as reported by the media. It turns out that it is not the end of the transfer happening.
It is possible that transfer can happen soon because Valencia are in need of the cash. Arsenal have sent negotiators to Spain in order to try and thrash out a deal, with the manager optimistic that something can be done soonest.
The Gunners are willing to pay somewhere around £25 million for Germany international Mustafi.
But if a deal can't be struck, Wenger is still interested in West Bromwich Albion's Jonny Evans -- although West Bromwich Coach Tony Pulis has said that he doesn't want to sell.
