Chelsea 4 - 1 Peterborough

Chelsea saw the fringe benefits of a stellar squad as a number of their supporting cast saw them ease past League One Peterborough in an emphatic 4-1 win.

Pedro scored the first and last goals of the game, for which the only blemish was a soft red card shown to recalled captain John Terry.

Michy Batshuayi and Willian both netted, with Tom Nichols giving the Posh some brief hope in west London before Pedro shut the door on any idea of a comeback.

Chelsea still managed to have a lion's share of possession even after they were reduced to ten men. They have progressed to third round.
